In a promotional interview for his upcoming Courage Fighting Championship
fight, Jason Reinhardt is looking into the future and is hoping to get a chance to
fight WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres in the 135-pound division.
“I’m undefeated at 135, Miguel Torres is not, so defintely, both Miguel and I, he's
the world chamption. He’s the best fighter in the world they say, so I would love
the chance to compete against him and fight him in the WEC.”
Coming off his first loss which was not in his regular weight class to Joe Lauzon
at UFC 78, Reinhardt, 20-1 in MMA says he wants to move down to the
Bantamweight division but also because his family and those around him keep
telling him to drop to 135.
“I wanted to but my wife, my family and everyone is telling me ‘ go to 35,’ ” said
Reinhardt.
“He’s an awesome fighter and I respect him greatly so let’s do it,” Reinhardt said of Torres. “I would love the opportunity
and he should give it to me.
