He wore a mouthpiece that had "Champ" on it, and Josh "The Punk" Thomson
became that last night as he defeated Gilbert Melendez for the Strikeforce
Lighweight Championship.

throughout the entire fight, whether in the stand up game or on the ground.
Thomson who was not at 100 percent because of an injury to his shoulder, had
nothing but praise for Melendez after the fight. "He's the toughest mother f*****
I've ever fought." Josh said after the fight.
